CANCELLATION/TERMINATION OF MEMBERSHIP POLICY
- A membership, monthly, quarterly, bi-annual, and annual, is a subscription and as such it will continue to auto-renew every month or selected term unless a termination form is completed at Southwestern Montana Family YMCA.
- If a termination form is not completed by the 25th of the previous month, members are responsible for all dues and/or charges for the following month. (e.g. if you do not want to pay for the month of June, you must complete the termination form no later than May 25)
- Regardless of which draft date is chosen, members are paying the current month in it’s entirety. Memberships go from the first day of each month to the last day of each month. There are no refunds given for the current month and members are responsible for current month dues regardless of when during the current month the termination form is signed and received by the YMCA.
- Members do owe the monthly membership rate regardless of whether or not they have used the facility.
- Memberships can be put on hold ONLY for medical reasons. The YMCA must receive a note from your doctor stating thus.
- Putting a stop payment on the selected payment method is not an effective way to terminate a membership and members are still responsible for all dues accumulated until a termination form is signed and received by the YMCA.
HOW WE OPERATE:
1. Everyone using our facility must check-in either with their membership scan card or with the front desk.
2. Memberships must be active and in good standing in order for members to access the facility.
3. Parents are responsible for the supervision and safety of their children at all times. Children left unattended in our facility are still under the responsiblity of their parents.
4. Without parental supervision, no one under the age of 13 is allowed in the fitness center, no one under the age of 16 is allowed upstairs, no one under the age of 6 is allowed in the pool area. Because of these rules, we suggest parents do not drop off their young children and leave the facility.
5. People caught “sneaking in” will lose their YMCA privileges for a given period of time. Sneaking in is defined as: using the facility without checking in; checking in with someone else’s scan card; or not using the correct form of identification to enter the facility.
6. Family memberships are defined according to IRS guidelines and include all family members that can legally be claimed as dependents.
7. We reserve the right to change or cancel programs based on the needs of the facility and/or instructors. Programs vary by season and are subject to change.
8. No use of tobacco, alcoholic beverages, or controlled substances is allowed on YMCA property.
9. No guns, knives, or anything that could be used as a weapon are allowed on YMCA property.
10. Members or guests determined to be under the influence will be asked to leave immediately and may suffer strict punishment.
11. The YMCA is founded on Christian principles and prohibits inappropriate behavior and conduct.
12. Absolutely no harassment or bullying of any kind, foul language, rowdiness, or fighting will be permitted on YMCA property.
13. Absolutely no convicted sex offenders are permitted anywhere on the premises per Y-USA policies.
14. The YMCA reserves the right to suspend membership privileges for any and all conduct unbecoming of a member.
15. This list is provided for reference only and may not include all applicable rules or policies. Additional rules or policies not listed here may also apply.
